Medium: Acrylic
Supplied with Mount Size: 20inch by 16inch (50cm by 40cm)
Behold a scene of 4 stylised globular trees standing in a row facing forward along the brow of a hill. They’re bedecked in complementary colours of green and purple with iridescent orange centres surrounding yellow and purple circles, a sign of unity. The fields below echo these four trees with rolling stripes of different vegetation.
There are 5 other small trees in the painting. 4 share the same shape, purple-edged with green triangular crowns and rounded trunks with orange centres. One of them stands on the brow of the hill sheltering under the globular trees.
A further two are together on the horizon beyond a bright yellow field. Are they going to connect with the trees in the copse? Are they going to stay together in place? Or move off along the horizon?
The last of this form stands alone further in the distance. Are any of the other trees aware of its existence? It has decisions to make on the direction it takes. It too can connect with the main copse, or it can turn to the right and form a trio. Are any of the other trees aware of its existence?
The remaining small tree shares the same colouring but has a rectangular canopy with an orange centre. It seems to have its back to the viewer and is gazing across the vivid yellow field. The lone triangular-topped tree has captured its attention. Does it feel some affinity for the lone tree? Recognising its otherness and wanting to welcome the lone tree to join the group. How does this painting make you feel? How should the story develop?
